I go to add my HP LaserJet 4050 to my Windows 7 machine and it is not working. I get

Well I have been trying for 2 days straight. So I found some links referencing the Microsoft Update Catalog. I do my search there and find the 4050 driver. There are a bunch of drivers there. I download the following:

I download that. It is a cab folder. So I extract the cab folder.

A .inf file named prnhp001.Inf is put on the root with an IA64 folder with .dll's. I click on 'have disk'. I point to the prnhp001.inf, and windows 7 comes back and says:

The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatiable software driver for your device.

If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with with windows for x-64 systems.

The driver description says IA64 so I believe that means 64 bit. I try and move the .inf file into the IA64 folder but it gives me the same error. If I edit the .inf file it says at the top-->
